What Is Our Freedom One Camper?
PPI Happy Campers is a family-run venture proudly operated through our school, Playpourri International. As longtime residents of Nagoya since 1995, our family has a deep love for camping, scouting, outdoor adventures, and exploring all that Japan has to offer. We started PPI Happy Campers to share that passion, making it easier for other families to experience the magic of road travel in Japan, with stress-free booking available in English.
In line with Japanese rental standards, our campers are provided as clean, well-maintained empty shells—ready for your personal setup or enhanced with our convenient add-on options.
We primarily serve our school community and local residents of Nagoya. Pick-up and drop-off are available only from our main location in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya.
Please note: We are unable to offer airport service at this time.

No Onboard Bathroom
Like most campers in Japan, our vehicle does not include a built-in bathroom. However, Japan is well-equipped with excellent roadside rest areas, and many families enjoy the use of local public and private bathhouses (onsen) along the way.
Campers are rented by the day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Overnight use is included at no extra charge when booking for multiple days.
Driver’s License Requirements
Staying less than 3 months in Japan? You’ll need a valid International Driver’s Permit (IDP) and your home country’s driver’s license. Be sure to bring both at pickup to complete your rental.
Safety Features That Look After Your Family
Travel confidently, knowing your RV comes fully equipped with essential safety measures, like a GPS tracker for emergencies and 24/7 drive camera recordings.
